Jambo! My name is Kay Walten. In 2010 had the opportunity to go to Tanzania off the beaten path. I was touched by the people, the cultures and the natural environment of this East Africa. Since then I have been involved with grass roots organizations to bring awareness and support to people that could use assistance on so many levels, even the most basic.
Africa had never been on my bucket list of places to go. I have lived in Mexico and spent time in Central America over the last 19 years. However the time in East Africa has changed my life in so many ways. I can only try to help change the lives of others there.
I hope that you will join me in my efforts by donating to my cause to empower the women of East Africa. Even the smallest amount donated can make a big difference in a woman’s life to provide for her and her family.
Why Project 5895? Mt. Kilimanjaro is 5895 meters at its summit, that translates to 19,340 feet. The highest point in the entire African continent.
